I’m Lara Montenegro, the designer behind LAMO Jewelry.

I studied fashion design and later specialized in set and costume design. Toward the end of that path, I began exploring jewelry, with the idea of transforming ephemeral stage objects into pieces meant to last. ​

My work sits between handcraft and technical process.

Some pieces are made directly at the bench, while others begin as drawings that I carve in wax or model in 3D, before being brought to life through lost-wax casting. I love working with my hands. Since the first time I melted metal, I’ve been fascinated by the process, even after years, it still feels a bit magical to me.
